I have just got this story from my friend. Nice story and we can get the lesson from it.

The Story of Three Logs

Once upon a time, there were three trees in the forest. One day, three of them is telling each other about their wishes and dreams. The first tree said “In the future, I want to be a treasure box. I will be filled with gold, silver, and various kinds of valuable stones and all of the people will adore its beauty.”

Then, the second tree said “In the future, I want to be a huge ship. I will transport the kings and sail to the end of the world. I will become a strong ship and every one will feel safe beside me.”

And, then the turn for the third tree to tell his dream came. He said “I want to become the tallest tree in the forest on the peak of hill. People will see me and think that I am so close to reach Heaven and GOD. I will be the tallest trees in the history and people will remember me.”

After a few years prayed so that the dreams will come true, the trees were cut by a group of lumberjacks.

The first tree was brought to a carpenter. He was so happy because he knew that he would be made into a treasure box.

But, his pray didn’t come true because the carpenter made him into a box for putting fodder. He was only put inside the barn and everyday he was filled with hay.

The second tree was brought to a shipyard. He thought that his dream would come true. But… he was cut and made into a very small fisherman boat. His dream to become a ship for transporting the kings had been finished.

The third tree was cut into big pieces of log and left in the darkness.

Years passed …, and the three logs had forgotten their dreams. Then one day… a husband and a wife came to the barn. The wife bore and put her baby in the box for putting teh fodder that was made from the first tree.

People came and worshipped that baby. At last the first tree realized that in his self was placed the greatest treasure in the world.

Years passed… a group of men got into the fisherman boat that was made from the second tree.

In the middle of lake, a big storm came and the second tree thought that he was not strong enough to protect the people inside.

But one of the men stood and said to the storm “Peace!!! Be still.” And the storm ceased.

At that time, he knew that he had transported The King Above All Kings.

At last… a man came and take the third tree. He was carried along the road while people mocked the man carrying him.

The man then was nailed on the log and died on the peak of hill.

At last, the third tree realized that he was so close to GOD, because JESUS was the one who was crucified on him.

From this story, I realize one thing. Everyone can have a great dream. But if it seems that it doesn’t come true, don’t worry, keep your trust in God. He will make you realize that actually you have got or done something far more precious that your greatest dream. God Bless….
